Scrible came to Digital Brew for a video to explain the process of their google chrome extension. Their educational tool is targeted to appeal to students, educators, and administrators.
The challenge with this project was taking a feature-heavy tool and communicating its value in a simple and appealing way for Scrible's intended audience. Our solution was to abstract the elements of the tool in a way that the favored features were immediately identifiable through interactions with the cursor, color changes for callouts, and interactivity in areas where a cursor would highlight content on a page.
One of the most fun parts of this project was the end sequence with the 3D objects appealing to the targeted audience. These scenes were modeled and animated entirely in After Effects with the use of the Cinema 4D render that ships with AE. This workflow provided easy edit-ability, trial and error for effective transitions, and faster render times.
